30w1d - 75% Down!

I should have posted it yesterday, but we are 3/4 of the way to our baby. 30 out of 4 weeks. I can't think of any 3/4 song lyrics, so I will just talk about the general state of things.

Baby gifts have started rolling in, which is awesome! I love everybody who is shipping us our presents, because it really does make our lives easier. Not to sound ungracious around people who want to see us open our gifts when we're in NJ for the shower, but we won't be able to get them back here easily, and I'd be afraid of things breaking on the airplane. So far we got our Pack 'n Play, swing, and Diaper Genie. Huzzah! Also, our rocker / recliner came in today. Sadly, it has a rough patch on it, so we need to call the manufacturer and see what they can do for us.

We still haven't started on the nursery. We have a plan for that. This weekend we have a friend in town, next weekend we're in NJ, and the following weekend we will clear out / tape up the room. The following weekend will be for painting and carpet cleaning, and then it's Memorial Day weekend, our last real work weekend, in which we will hopefully get the nursery all decorated.

As far as mama-health goes, I'm doing great! My blood pressure is back to normal (120/64, baby!), the swelling has gone down ('lost' a pound since the last appointment, thanks to the swelling going down!). I have still gained a bit more than is ideal for somebody who started out ahead of the curve. But I'm not too concerned about it, to be completely honest. I eat when I'm hungry, I am reasonably healthy about my food choices, and I try to be active. Although, I have to limit my activity to a certain degree because I do have Braxton-Hicks contractions when my heart rate gets over about 130. And it takes much less to raise my heart rate these days, so my exercise pretty much involves pre-natal yoga, light lifting / stretching and easy walking.

Well, I'm rambling. And sitting up is making my upper abs hurt :-(. I need to go lie down. So I'm signing off!
