My stomach capacity is starting to shrink! Am I eating less as a result? NO! I probably should be for the sake of comfort, but I’m hungry at meal times so I eat. And then I don’t really want snacks because I’m SO FULL from my meal times. I need to fix that….
As a result of this smaller stomach capacity thing I have going on, I’m having some reflux things going on. Not acid reflux, per se (although, there is some of that). Just general reflux of whatever my stomach contents are. It is not good. I will not get into any details, but I’m certainly tasting my meals in the partially-digested form for hours after I eat. I can’t even drink sufficient water, because there is no room in my belly for water. So I wind up getting a water-chilled sensation that sticks with me for about 20 minutes after each sip. No good.
I guess I need to train myself on smaller meals. This weekend we had a guest, so every meal was out, so it was hard. And I travel for work this week and don’t think I will have snack breaks. But I will try to plan around my day and look for snacking opportunities so I don’t need to eat as much at meals. Because this is just not comfortable.
