14w3d - Ultrasound Pics

We had an ultrasound on Friday. It ruled. Our first one was okay, te OB did it and it was cool to see our little blob in there. But this one was done by the sonographer, and since Acorn was quite a bit bigger and more active, there was a LOT more to see. We saw lots of movement. First there was sleeping. The 'wake Acorn up' part was hysterical. S/he would keep on rubbing his/her eyes and face, as if to say, 'leave me alone, mom, I'm sleeping!' It was cute. It's wild - that there is a tiny baby inside of me who sleeps sometimes an dis awake and moving around other times. Amazing! And it has a beating heart. It beats really fast - 153 beats per minute. It was amazing to hear it. I cried my little eyes out (I'm welling up just thinking about it). Anyway, here are some pictures:

This one is sweet - you can see Acorn's whole figure, including the facial features. There is a nice, strong spine.

This one here is a really good picture of the face. It looks just like us!

Here's my baby practicing for his future career as a kicker for the New York Giants, or her future career as a Radio City Rockette. How talented!

This one is my favorite, because Acorn is waving to us! Or sticking it's hand at it's nose and saying 'nah, nah, ne-nah nah.' This may have been after we tried to take a glimpse at the bottom so we could tell if we were having a boy or a girl. The little brat crossed its legs every time we tried to look. We'll find out in 4 weeks.
