Unpredictable little stinkers....

You cannot plan life around children. Even portable infants. They always throw you for a curve.

Donovan slept terribly last night. Part of the problem is that he hasn't had a poop since Sunday. That is not abnormal for a 2 month old - their bodies use the milk they consumer incredibly efficiently, so there is very little waste. But in Donovan's case, this particular time, I think there is a poop that needs to happen. I don't know if there is too much in there, or not enough, or his muscles just aren't strong enough. But, either way, he is unhappy.

He had a terrible night last night, and I was really hoping for a nap. Since he got up, I climbed back into bed twice. The first time, Mike called me and needed me to find him a file on his laptop. No matter, though. Donovan was up by the time I finished helping him. So maybe 15 minutes? Later on he had another 15 minute nap, during which I had a disappointing cat nap.

After that I gave up. I put on some coffee, did some work around the house and took a shower. Thus, I am awake. What does he do after that? He wiggled and writhed and got out some poop (just a bit). Then he felt better so he took a 45 minute nap! Stinker :-P.

At least I got to make a nice, big batch of turkey salad.
