Boo Wada? Mink Wada?

Jocelyn got to dye Easter eggs this year. She *loved* it. We had so much fun the first time we did it twice! We bought the kind that you put the tablets into the colored cups and add white vinegar to make easy dye.

The first time, we kept in her in her high chair and did it in the kitchen. We showed her how we put the eggs into the cups of dye, and then handed her eggs and cups and let her drop them in. She caught right on and really enjoyed the whole process.

The second time we did it in our sun room, which has the same type of floor as the kitchen, but a low coffee table that is more Jocelyn friendly. She had a blast when she could reach the eggs, drop them in, and then pull them back out. She would move them from one cup to the other, so the eggs came out random, swirly colors. Only one of the dye cups spilled, and we worked on a towel so it was easy to clean up.

Well, on Easter I was making some egg salad with the colored eggs and Jocelyn wanted to play with them. She then started asking for the 'mink (pink) cup' that was still by the sink. I gave it to her, and she said, 'mink wada?' She wanted pink 'water' for dying the Easter eggs! When I told her we didn't have any more pink water, her next question was very logical - 'boo wada?' Yup, if I don't have pink, I might have blue. Silly baby!
