24w2d - Registered!

Okay, not completely, but we started.

A few weeks ago now (since before my last doctor's appointment), Hubby-poo and I had a personal shopper help us out at Buy Buy Baby. I just love that store. The lady took us through the store for about 3 hours, taking us through different options for pretty much every item. She also didn't pressure us into choosing things - she just gave us information and showed us her favorite things. It was really cool. Of course, being the researcher that I am, and because pregnancy has made me really bad at making decisions, we didn't get anywhere near done. But we did walk out of there with some understanding of what we needed.

We then went and set one up on Amazon.com (okay, I think there is only one thing on it). And, since not everybody has Buy Buy Baby (although, there is one in Paramus, which is fairly convenient for most of my friends), we also set up a few things at Babies R Us.

We went back to BBB today to add a few more items. We selected a baby monitor, night light and, well, that might have been it. We did find a rocker / recliner that we liked (of course, it's like $600 - whoops! But at least we have a 20% off coupon). And I am all but decided on a stroller (going with something by Baby Jogger, just need to look at two models side-by-side). We are still deciding on a car seat, but know we're going to start with an infant seat and then switch to a car seat. But will probably get a convertible seat for NJ.

It's amazing how much stuff babies need....
