Okay, being pregnant is hard.
On Saturday night I started coming down with a cold. Normally, when I feel that first twinge of a cold, I reach for the NyQuil. On a Saturday night I am inclined to take a mega-dose and just knock it out of my system. This past Saturday? I popped a Benadryl for the congestion and a Tylenol for the aches. That was all I could do! Yesterday I spent the day feeling miserable, popping cough drops and not much else. There is so much conflicting information on the web that I didn’t know what or who to trust. So I just didn’t take anything! It sucked.
Today I spoke with the doctor and she told me that I could take Robitussen and Tylenol Cold. And that cough drops are okay. But that’s all! I usually buy those all-in sort of medicines, so I’ll have to buy the basic ones.
The other thing that was hard was that I went out for sushi for a friend’s birthday. I *love* sushi! Of course, when there is a bun in the oven, there is no raw food. Luckily this place had several cooked rolls, so I was able to eat there without feeling too deprived. And they were also kind enough to put a * by each roll / dish with raw food in it, so it was really easy to choose something appropriate. Still, though, I think that I am going to have sushi for my first post-delivery meal.
