At 3 months shy of turning 3, Jocelyn has finally figured out the whole smiling for pictures thing. When she was a baby, she had a small stint of smiling for the camera - from about ages 6.5-8.5 months. I think she was interested in the camera, and it made her happy. After that, she didn't care about the camera. And, as I have mentioned before, Jocelyn only does her own thing at her own time. So she is not one to, say, smile because you tell her to.
But now, I don't know what happened. I guess she learned at daycare about saying "cheese" when somebody points a camera at you. So it's what she does. And, now, there are smiles in the pictures. It's awesome :-).
